IGNOU Annouced Minimum Pass Percentage required in BCA and MCA

In compliance with the decision of the Academic Council at its meeting held on 13th January, 2009, the minimum qualifying marks for the students of BCA and MCA with effect from December, 2008 term-end examination will be as under:-

Jan. 2008 and subsequent batches
a.MCA students - 40% for all courses of all semesters
b.BCA students - 40% for all courses of all semesters

July 2007 batch
a. BCA students, direct MCA students - 50% for the courses of 1 & 2 semesters
40% for the courses of 3,4,5 & 6 semesters
b. Integrated BCA-MCA, BIT/ADIT - 50% for the courses of 3 & 4 semesters
- MCA students 40% for the courses of 5 & 6 semesters

Jan. 2007 batch
a. BCA & direct MCA students - 50% for the courses of 1,2 & 3 semesters
40% for the courses of 4,5 & 6 semesters
b. Integrated BCA-MCA, BIT/ADIT - 50% for the courses of 3, 4 & 5 semesters
- MCA students 40% for the courses of 6 semesters

July 2006 batch
a. BCA students & direct MCA students - 50% for the courses of 1,2,3 & 4 semesters
40% for the courses of 5 & 6 semesters
b. Integrated BCA-MCA, BIT/ADIT - 50% for the courses of all semesters
- MCA students

Jan. 2006 batch
a. BCA students & direct MCA students - 50% for the courses of 1,2,3,4 & 5 semesters
40% for the courses of 6th semesters
b. Integrated BCA-MCA, BIT/ADIT - 50% for the courses of all semesters
- MCA students

Jan. 2005 and earlier batches
Students of BCA, MCA, - 50% for the courses of all semesters
Integrated BCA-MCA and Integrated
BIT/ADIT-MCA students

The minimum passing marks mentioned above is applicable for term-end examination as well as assignments and practical. The minimum qualifying marks in CS-60 will be 35% both in term-end examination and assignments with effect from December-2008 term-end examination.

Its clear that the above benefits of 40% is provided to students who had not register..

WHY IGNOU CHARGES EQUAL MONEY FROM ALL STUDENT WHEN THEY INCREASE ANY FEES (for eg. examination fees now Rs 60 .. for all students )

SO IGNOU RULES are based on HELPING students or MONEY PAID BY STUDENT??????

its a not fair calculation ,, u hav given advantage to new batch rather you should give advantage to old batch ,, bcs old batch student hav less time to complete the course ,, so its my request to mohapatra to change the plan n pls think abt old student who is facing more n more problem
