IGNOU BLIS - Bachelor of Library and Information Science

In response to the demand for a large number of trained personnel in libraries, documentation and information centres, the University launched its Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science Programme (BLISC) in 1989. To keep pace with the changing dimension of the subject, particularly in relation to the application of Information Technology (IT), the programme has been completely revised in 2000. The Hindi version of the Programme was launched in 2003.


Name of the Programme:
 Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS)

Eligibility:
i) Second class Bachelors Degree's with 50 per cent marks.
OR
ii) Bachelors Degree with Diploma in Library Science
OR
iii) Bachelors Degree with two years of working experience in a Library & Information Centre
OR
iv) Bachelors Degree in a Professional area such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Law etc

 No Bar

Year Min. Max.
Minimum Duration: 1 Years
Maximum Duration: 4 Years

Programme Fee:
Rs. 4,400

Dear sir/madam
I have given B.LIS exam in june -12.My result shows marks in every paper but my grade card shows completed in 6 paper & in (BLS-7) shows not completed.What is the meaning for that status observed in grade card.Due to which i can take adimmissiom in M.LIS .So pls guide me for this observation.
